Sounds like y'all know the answer to your own question. It was an Xbox exclusive. This i (2) is the first to be on PC which is part of why it'southward such a poor port.
If SR1 ever is ported to PC (merely a percentile likely), expect it to exist butchered, just similar the GTA mobile ports. Songs removed, game dumbed down, more glitches, you know the drill.
It would end up like SR II. 2 uses I's engine, which is made for X360 (but was refined for PS3.) The engine isn't very stable on PC. Which is why SRII for PC was lack-luster.
Why Saint Row was a Xbox 360 Exclusivity... I Hope it volition be on PC one day...

I'd like to run across SR1 out on PC however they would take to build it form ground up or it will be a crap port... look what happed to SR2 bugs and performance issuses I don't think anyone wants that.
Would be pretty sugariness to be able to play the original game on PC though. I haven't played it since I don't have an xbox and I don't know the story that well. 
Don't hold your jiff on any Saints Row 1 & two re-releases.
The closest we might get is a remake in the style of the electric current games.
